When I run for the cure this year I will be a 6 year breast cancer survivor. I am not sure there is a day that has gone by these past 6 years that I haven't thought about my experience and what almost 28,000 women diagnosed each year in Canada will have to live with.

We continue to hear about our close relatives and friends die of cancer. I believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. Progress is being made in early detection and treatment options, but we are still not there yet, and every donation counts.

With you help for the past 4 years I had participated in the “CIBC Run for the Cure” and had raised a total of $ 46,000. I am running again this year and I hope to reach my fundraising goal to fund groundbreaking cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
