Few people spark a light in you whenever you interact with them but my dear cousin; Dr Teni Araba has always been a big inspiration to me. I have always admired her tenacity and drive to be excellent even when we were kids. Her creativity in music and the arts is a true gift to the world. Mostly I have been inspired by the grace and abundant joy with which she navigates the world (from successfully navigating many careers and industries, being an inspiring mum and wife and most recently conquering her cancer journey). She has exemplified walking the faith journey in an indescribable way. To say I am in awe of her is an understatement. So to show my support for her and the thousands of diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am joining her and participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. For those of you who know me personally, you know running is not my thing but Dr T has inspired me beyond what I could articulate with how she has navigated the cancer journey. It would be my honour to run along side her and cheer her on. 

 

With your help, I hope to reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
