I am reaching out to you with a personal message asking for your support as I participate in an important event for a cause close to my heart.

It’s been seven years since my second cancer diagnosis, a milestone filled with both gratitude and reflection. While I’m thankful for my recovery from surgeries and treatments, I face daily reminders that we haven’t fully beaten cancer. The physical scars tell a story of resilience, but they also evoke the emotional toll of the journey.

I cherish the small victories and the support from family, friends, and fellow survivors, which have been vital in my healing process. While the shadows of my past sometimes creep in, I strive to navigate those moments with grace. Looking ahead, I hold onto hope for advancements in cancer research and treatment, committed to living fully and advocating for awareness. My journey is marked by struggle, but it’s also filled with strength and a profound appreciation for life.

This Sunday, I will join hundreds of other survivors in the Run for Cure in Toronto, proudly wearing my "Participant of Hope" t-shirt. This event not only raises awareness but also funds vital research aimed at improving diagnostic tools, treatments, and ultimately finding a cure for cancer.
