In 2009 my aunt Mary Enns lost her seven year battle with breast cancer and it was devastating.

11 years later, my BFF Jodi Lutz was diagnosed with breast cancer and the thought of losing another person so close to me brought fear, a lot of anger and a lot of tears.   After surgery and a difficult round of chemotherapy, gratefully Jodi emerged a resilient cancer survivor.   

At least one of the medications that were in early clinical trials at the end of Mary's battle have helped to save Jodi's life.

Not only do funds go toward cancer research, but they also go toward the financial burdens that surround this horrible disease such as expensive medications, wigs and equipment, supportive physical and mental therapy.
