An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada. To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, including myself, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

In 2022, I received a life-altering diagnosis: stage 3 breast cancer. What followed was a journey filled with courage and resilience.  Over the course of my battle, I endured 16 rounds of grueling chemotherapy, a daunting surgery and another 16 rounds of radiation therapy.  Each day was a testament to the strength within me and the unwavering support of my loved ones.  This fight has taught me the profound value of hope, determination, and the incredible power of the human spirit.  Today I proudly stand as a survivor, a testament to the unyielding will to overcome adversity and embrace life's challenges head-on.  My journey against breast cancer is a story of resilience, faith, and the triumph of human spirit.
