As a sister of a survivor of breast cancer, I am deeply connected to this cause. I am also representing other survivors, particularly my cis- and gender-diverse 'sistas'. 

Black women have the highest rates of breast cancer worldwide.  We can face many barriers that can threaten our equitable access to cancer care.  Applying an anti-racist, equitable, diverse and inclusive approach to cancer detection, treatment, and care is critical in removing systemic barriers faced by Black women and other minoritized groups within our healthcare system and society at large.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, including my sister, I am participating and fundraising for this year's Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.

Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
