Hello, I'm Kristina. A few months ago, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and is now undergoing treatment. In response, my friends, family, and I have decided to participate in this year's Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure to support her and raise funds for a cause that’s become deeply personal to us.

In early May, my mom went in for a biopsy of a lump she hadn’t anticipated would be anything serious. By June, our world was turned upside down when we learned it was cancerous. Since then, she has undergone surgery to remove the tumor and is currently in the midst of chemotherapy and radiation. Anyone who knows her can attest to her incredible strength, selflessness, and caring nature. The outpouring of support she has received has been overwhelming and deeply appreciated.

We are running not just for her, but for everyone affected by breast cancer. Your support means the world to us and is a testament to the power of community in the face of adversity.
