This year, I'm running in the CIBC Run for the Cure in Toronto with my HSO team, and this cause is incredibly personal to me. As a kid, I lost my mom’s best friend, Aunt Sue, to breast cancer. Even though I only had a short time with her, the impact she left on me and my family was unforgettable. We ran this race together every year growing up, and it became a tradition of love, tribute, and hope.

Now, I’m also running for my friend Lauren, who was diagnosed last year and faced her treatment with such bravery. I’m honoured to be part of this, raising funds for a future without breast cancer.
