On April 2nd, 2023, I got a phone call from my best friend. I will never forget that call, or the tragedy that followed.

Nancy Bordonaro was a beautiful, intelligent, creative and loving person, teacher, and mother. She was also told that she would have more time.

So, none of us were expecting it when on that day, she suddenly had to leave. In the wake of her passing, there has been an immense amount of grief, and I imagine that there always will be.

Fundraising can’t take away the grief that her family and loved ones feel, but it might help to prevent someone else’s. Which is why this year I am participating and fundraising for the

Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.

Though it isn’t a lofty goal, I hope that you will consider helping me reach it. Maybe I’ll even get to raise more!
