I am a member of Pink Crusaders, a dragon boat team made up of women who have survived a diagnosis of breast cancer (and/or other cancers) and our wonderful supporters. For the sixth year, Pink Crusaders will be walking/running in the Run for the Cure on October 6th to make a difference for the breast cancer cause and to spread the news about the joys of being part of a dragon boat team. I am very proud to say that Pink Crusaders has won the Women's Team Challenge Award for raising the most funds by participating in the Run for the Cure of any Toronto women's team four times! We have now combined with the other Toronto dragon boat team of women who have had breast cancer called Dragons Abreast to form Dragons Abreast/Pink Crusaders BCP Teams. If we are going to reach our goal and win this Award again this year we need your help! With 1 in 8 Canadian women expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, your support is more important than ever.
