Hello friends and family. On Sunday, October 6, I'll be proudly participating in the annual CIBC Run for the Cure in support of Canadian Cancer Society (CCS).  

CCS invests the dollars raised from the Run for the Cure into ground-breaking breast cancer research, compassionate support services, trusted cancer information and advocacy on behalf of all Canadians. It’s because of the funds Canadians raise through the Run that we know more than ever before about how to prevent, diagnose, treat and live with and beyond breast cancer.

Like many people, our family has been affected by cancer. Cathy had a complex surgery in 2022 to remove a neuroendocrine tumor. We are very fortunate and thankful that she received a clean bill of health during her annual check-in again this year. Although the Run for the Cure focuses on breast cancer, we are certainly grateful for the broader work that Canadian Cancer Society does to support people living with other types of cancer. I'm also offering my support by volunteering at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences to assist new cancer patients.
