An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

This year, I'm participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure in honor of my sister, Kathryn, who is courageously battling metastatic breast cancer. Kathryn is not only a wonderful sister but also a loving, dedicated mother to her two amazing children and aunt. Her strength through this journey continues to inspire me to take action and support the cause.

Metastatic breast cancer is a form of cancer that has spread beyond the breast to other parts of the body. While it is treatable, it is currently incurable. Early detection is critical in preventing breast cancer from reaching this stage, and ongoing research and support are essential to improving the quality of life for those affected.

In addition to running for Kathryn, I am also volunteering as the Volunteer Engagement Lead for the run committee, helping recruit, manage, and organize volunteers for the event. We still have many volunteer positions available, and every helping hand makes a difference!
