On Sunday, Oct 1, 2024,  I will once again be participating in the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. I will walk with my mom, my sister, family and friends all part of our team *Pretty in Pink*. This is to honour my mother and my grandmother (Vavo).  My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 when I was only 6 years old. My mom underwent several surgeries and a year long cancer treatment. My grandmother was diagnosed in 2017, both are breast cancer survivors.

Since our inception in 2015, we have raised over $177 000.  Last year, we raised a record breaking $32 678. 

While Canadians are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis, there is still so much work to be done. I want to be around to see a future without breast cancer.
