With the passing of Jim, my wingman and number one supporter, this yearly event is even more meaningful to my family and I.  I am thrilled to say that I am now 9 years cancer free!! I continue to run for myself, my Mom, my Aunt Constantina, my cousin Cathy and numerous friends that I've shared my breast cancer journey with.

Mark your calendar for Sunday October 6, 2024.  Please join Team *Pretty in Pink* for our 10th Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure in support of breast cancer.  Since its inception 2015, the team has raised over $177,000.  Our fundraising goal for this year is $20,000 so I need your continued support. If you can't join us please support this important cause with a donation. 

The team was started in 2015 shortly after my diagnosis.   In June 2015 I was diagnosed and underwent a mastectomy in August 2015 afterwards I underwent a year long treatment of chemotherapy, radiation and immune therapy.  In 2017 I had both my reconstruction procedures. My Mom was also diagnosed in 2017 and underwent a lumpectomy.  For my peace of mind, in 2019 I underwent another mastectomy with immediate reconstruction.  Today, I am cancer free and so grateful for all the research dollars that literally saved my life.  I promise to make breast cancer beatable.
