An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024

My sister and I had breast cancer over 9 years ago - and not the same kind.  Fortunately we have both been cancer free since then.  I walk on October 6th with the hope to see a cure in our lifetime and to ensure that my daughters and the daughters of my friends and family will not live in fear of breast cancer.  It is with the dream  that treatment options will be entirely curative not just a hope for no reoccurrence  

Every time I go for my mammogram, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop - it would be nice to know that my worry is unnecessary because there is a cure
