It’s been 7 years since I started participating in CIBCs Run for the Cure. At first it was just Isa and I, now it’s the whole family. 7 years doesn’t seem that long but a lot has happened in that time and not just me getting older. Humza and Hussain went from diapers to mini-men, Isa turned into a man and we all lived through COVID lockdowns. But through it all we always made sure the Run was a priority for our family – we always made sure the 1st Sunday in October was open so we could run. As the years went by Resh and I turned into fast walkers and the kids turned into runners. So even though I don’t race them to the finish line anymore I’m pretty sure I can still beat them in a speed walking race.
