Dear  Family and Friends!

This year I celebrate 19 years of beating breast cancer and continue to live strong in my 70’s! To age and live strong is a blessing! I get to do this! I get to be part of a team of courageous, strong women, the WonderBroads. We are survivors because of  continued good treatment and diagnostics and progressive research. 

Treatments today are better and more targeted to specific tumours. My commitment  will always be to this cause of finding a cure, supporting research and better treatments.  

Members of our team will once again gather to participate in the Run to celebrate our survivorship, stand for a cure and continued research especially in the area of metastatic breast cancer.  

I'm hoping you can support me and my team in contributing to this campaign.  I  am proud to have been a top fundraiser for years and our team has been the top fundraising team for 3 years. We want to stay on top!  

This year I personally dedicate my run to Betty James, a dear friend and WonderBroad team mate who passed away this year. She fought courageously and is an inspiration to many. Last year in the midst of her treatment she walked with me, totally committed to this cause! 

 I walk for my friends that are currently battling this disease as well as the many women that are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis and those we lost to this disease. But there is still so much work to be done!
By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure,  I’m joining a collective that is a force-for-life in the face of breast cancer. I need your help!
