Being diagnosed with breast cancer has been a life-changing experience. It knocks you down and your loved ones to your knees and forever changes your perspective – on everything.

My cousin and I were diagnosed with breast cancer, her in 2018, and myself in 2019.Unfortunately, a few months ago, my dear cousin lost her battle as I continue to heal physically and mentally. Her loving husband and three children now face a life without her care and love.

In my own battle and throughout my treatment, I knew that I would be forever connected to breast cancer and that I would forever be committed to raising funds for research - screening, care, and treatment, and ultimately for a cure.

This is an illness that can affect anyone – in fact every 1 in 8 women face a diagnosis annually.
