Windsor: Ms. Romina Mercedes Buhagiar

In 2016, when I was 31 years old, I was given the devastating news that I had stage 3 breast cancer. I went through chemo, surgery and radiation and was officially in remission in 2019.

This year, 8 years after my initial diagnosis, I was told my breast cancer had returned. It has spread to my bones and I have a destructive mass in my spine in my T8 vertebrae. At 39 years old, I am now fight and living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

This year I’m walking for myself and women like me who fight and continue to fight this battle against breast cancer. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.

Please donate today. I have to believe that their are better treatment options and better survival outcomes are possible. Together, we can give Canadians impacted by breast cancer a reason to have hope. And we can help change the future for all.
