Hi all, 

It's that time of year again! Hard to believe its been 3 years since I was in the middle of chemo when we did our walk and well over a decade since my sister's initial walk!  This year I've reached my 50th birthday milestone and am grateful more so. No one truly embraces a diagnosis, but I have to say that this journey has extended learnings as both a caregiver and patient in ways never imagined. Your life changes immediately and you need to pivot.  How you pivot, well that's a different story. I am thankful to God each and every day and to everyone for their support. I will continue to advocate for a cure along with that of many other types of cancers and diseases for our future and those of generations to come!! Research has made many advances possible. I hope that one day-this walk won't be about finding the cure, but a march to celebrate its end! In the meantime, we will raise awareness & celebrate all of the lives (warrior survivors, thrivers, and angelic loved ones ) that made A CURE possible!!!!

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
