To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure. I am walking this year with and in honour of my lifelong friend (and Bruce buddy) Jill.

Jill was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022, just three years after I lost my husband to cancer. Jill was worried about telling me her diagnosis after my recent loss. That tells you what kind of person and friend Jill is.

Her positive attitude and resilience since that time is inspiring. Jill has undergone multiple surgeries, radiation, and continues to be focused on improving her health and wellbeing! She so aptly named her team of walkers Thunder Road to Triumph! And triumph she will!!
