In January of 2021, I received the shock of my life when a routine mammogram showed I needed a biopsy. On February 1st, 2021. I got the news that I had always dreaded - cancer. I am incredibly thankful for all of the advances that have been made in research, testing and treatments.  Much more research is needed. Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women and every day, 75 Canadians will hear the words I dreaded hearing - "you have breast cancer".
