After my Mom’s 60th birthday in March 2022, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was the most shocking and upsetting news she and our family has ever received. We were terrified about what was the come next. In July 2022, she underwent an extensive 8-hour surgery to remove the tumours. The post-surgery recovery and cancer treatment was beyond what anyone should ever need to endure. My mom worked so hard each day to get stronger, and how she remained so unbelievably positive and motivated was truly inspiring. 

Our family had the most amazing support system and those around us provided us everything we needed from Dad's endless support, “Aunty Marcy nursing care”, meals from friends and family, good chats, laughs with Adam, Carly/Tara “OT services and equipment care”, a house FILLED with flowers for months on end and more! Our family has been extremely fortunate to have such an incredible support system and are so grateful to everyone who helped along the way. Since then, mom has received radiation, surgery and other treatments to optimize the chances that the breast cancer will never return. She has continued to progress very well and has even seen Bruce in concert again! ;). Her journey still continues and we will be there to support you every step of the way! 

My mom is always the most loving, caring, fun, generous and supportive person. It is now time that I support her and raise money for breast cancer! She is my role model and I am so proud of everything she has accomplished and am so lucky to be her daughter.
