My grandmother was one of the strongest, most independent, beautiful women I knew in my life so far. She fought breast cancer with a smile that lit up her face, and a warmth that we still feel around us. My sister's mother-in-law, and a close family friend are also beautiful women who have beat breast cancer with the right and timely treatment.

My sister and our family started a team called Moon and Wind in the honour of our grandmother (named after the moon) and my sister's mother-in-law (named after wind).

Me and my family are going to be walking/running, to show our support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year. We are participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.

With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar we raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
