Family and friends,

As you may know,we walk in memory of our loving, beautiful, funny and charismatic mother, who lost her battle with Breast Cancer in 2003. Our mom was out-going, loud, captivating and a beaming light. Before her passing, she supported and walked in Breast Cancer initiatives; and we continue to support the Run for the Cure on her behalf. With her in mind, we have raised approx $90k as a team the last 8/9 years. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our mother's memory alive. It is through your help that we are able to fund innovative research and support early detection while supporting families who are going through what we have been witness to ourselves.

Every day, 70 Canadians will hear the words "you have breast cancer." While these Canadians are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis, there is still so much work to be done.

By participating in this year's Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, I'm joining a collective that is a force-for-life in the face of breast cancer. I'm running in honour of the incredible people in my life who have been effected by this disease.
