Every day, an average of 84 Canadian women will hear the words “you have breast cancer.”

Fifteen years ago, that was me hearing those terrifying, life changing words. With the support of donations towards research, I was able to receive extensive treatment that allowed me to be here today.

While Canadians are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis, there is still so much work to be done.

By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, I’m joining a collective that is a force-for-life in the face of breast cancer. I’m running for me, but also in honour of the incredible people in my life, and for everyone diagnosed all over Canada and I need your help!
