I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2022. I had a lumpectomy, six rounds of chemo, 21 radiation treatments and 17 Herceptin treatments. It is because of research that there are treatments available for the type of cancer I had. Fundraising efforts like this one make that research possible. I will be forever grateful for those who have raised funds in the past and will do my best to help contribute to those efforts this year and in the future.

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.
