I Run for A CURE

So that no one has to suffer the agony of losing someone to this terrible disease. Breast cancer took my "only" sister 15 years ago. It feels like just yesterday we were sharing coffee and discussing everything - family, friends, cats, her treatments, politics, the Women's Institute, and so much more. My mother and her sister have been gone for over 30 years. I miss these women immensely. I consider myself fortunate; I am a 21-year survivor of the same cancer that has claimed so many lives.

Every day, 70 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.” By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, I’m joining a collective that is a force-for-life in the face of breast cancer.
