Last year I walked for Alzheimer in memory of my Mum. This year I am walking for breast cancer for myself. I was diagnosed with three malignant tumors in my left breast in May and had a mastectomy in July. My journey is not over but I am grateful to be feeling great and able to participate in this year's Run for the Cure.

Walking with me is my daughter Meg, who is with me every step of the way, and my adopted daughters (Meg's friends) who make my life infinitely better.

The picture was taken in on August 6th in Punta Cana, 1 month after my surgery!!

To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year like me, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
