Hi all!  It’s time to send out a plea for donations for the run/cancer research. Most of you know my story but here are a few things you might not know:

-since my diagnosis in 2018, I have lost five good friends to metastatic breast cancer. Most of them started out as stage 1-3 breast cancer. 
-while there are some breast cancers that are less aggressive, all have the potential to become metastatic at which point, research (presently) deems the cancer incurable. We desperately want to change that.
-since my diagnosis, treatment options have changed and improved for both stage 1-3 BC as well as for metastatic BC. This is a result of research which is funded (in part) by campaigns like Run for the Cure.
-early detection can mean more positive treatment results but not always. Cancer manifests differently in each one of us so we can never let our guard down and never stop searching for a cure.- every $50 donation provides 1 hr of research
