The Run for the Cure has taken on a whole new meaning to me this year as I was diagnosed with triple negative locally advanced breast cancer in July. I have completed two of the 16 planned chemotherapy cycles prior to having surgery. Due to the type of cancer I have I qualify for a relatively new treatment option called immunotherapy, which I started with my chemotherapy cycles.  I believe that fundraisers like this help to fund new research and make better treatment options available to improve the outcomes of people diagnosed with breast cancer.   Cory, Jake and I are planning to walk in this year’s Run for the Cure and Cory has setup the team Lana’s Bananas.  We appreciate all the support!
