In January 2017 I was diagnosed with breast cancer which sent me on an emotional roller coaster!  After a lumpectomy, 4 rounds of chemo , 25 radiation treatments and ongoing hormone therapy, I am cancer free and graduated from the cancer center.  Despite being the hardest journey I have ever experienced, I learned a lot about myself, experienced amazing support from friends and family and experienced Jesus in a more intimate way that was rich and fulfilling.  God was my source of strength daily and I can truly say that my faith brought hope, joy and peace.  I am a warrior!

Every day, 75 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.” While these Canadians are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis, there is still so much work to be done.

By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, I am helping change the future of breast cancer. I am running in honour of the incredible people in my life, and I need your support!
