Every day, 75 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.” 

These are the words that I heard on June 1st, 2021. Being only 36, it came as quiet a shock to my family, doctor and myself. The aggressive tumor got an aggressive treatment which would have beeen very difficult if it wasn't  for my amazing medical team, family, friends and work support. Drugs like Herceptin have improved the outcomes for patients like me with HER2 cancers. These drugs are made possible by donations for research.

While these Canadians are living longer, healthier lives after a breast cancer diagnosis, there is still so much work to be done.

By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, I am helping change the future of breast cancer. I am running in honour of the incredible people in my life, and I need your support!
