To show my support for the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.

I will be participating in this alongside a very dear friend and survivor Katrina Lewis, and also in memory of a friend who was like a sister Joanne. Along with Katrina, and Joanne I want to support everyone else is has or is currently dealing with this disease.

Katrina’s story …

In January of 2018 Katrina was diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer. She quickly started on intense chemotherapy before having bilateral mastectomies with immediate reconstruction. After surgery, they found that her cancer had not responded well to the initial rounds of chemotherapy, so they tried a newer type for another 8 rounds followed by radiation therapy to her left breast and lymph nodes. Katrina is currently on maintenance medication to prevent her cancer from returning and she has been cancer free for almost 6 years.With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.
