If I wouldn't have went to the Breast Cancer Bus I would still have cancer! The outcome could look much different. I listened to two friends to take the time out of my busy life and went to the bus for a mammogram. I soon was contacted and had to go for an ultrasound and another mammogram. Then I went for a biopsy and received the call that I had cancer. I chose to have both breasts removed. I was lucky because I had support from my family, friends, colleagues and employers. I know I am one of the lucky ones and I have a much different out look on life because of this. I received amazing care at the breast clinic and in the hospital from the doctors, nurses and the other health professionals. I really can't say thank you enough! I feel it's now time to give back with support from my family.
