I'm Nickson, an international PhD student at the University of Saskatchewan. Like many of you, I've felt the profound impact of breast cancer—my grandmother, someone very dear to me, lost her battle to this disease. But today, as a researcher dedicated to finding solutions, I am also taking action in another way.

This year, I am participating in the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure to honor my grandmother’s memory and to support the thousands of Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
