I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2023. I underwent surgery, chemo therapy and radiation. It was the hardest year of my life but here I am, over a year later. The love and support I had during this difficult time is what helped me stay strong and fight.  I am so thankful and grateful for all my family and friends who supported me. We created the Support Squad team in hopes to help and support breast cancer patients in any way possible. 

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

P.S. Did you know? Fundraising $300 can fund help provide healthy home-cooked meals for guests at a Canadian Cancer Society lodge during their stay. Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs – including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
