In 2022 my daughter Paige was diagnosed with Inflammitory Breast Cancer. It was a long road of 16 rounds of chemotherapy, followed by a mastectomy, then 16 rounds of radiation. It was a year on February 1, 2024 that she finished all her treatments and so far there is no sign of the cancer returning.

Last year our team, Paige’s Fight Team, raised $4,032 of which I raised $1,803.50 towards Breast Cancer Research.

An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Lodge guests receive wholesome foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, and meals customized to their dietary needs including those arising from cancer treatment, like liquid and soft food diets.
