I had a routine mammogram and ultrasound on Jan 24th. They saw a suspicious area in my left breast They ended up doing a needle core biopsy on the 30th.  I just got my pathology report on February8th, which confirmed invasive lobular cancer.  I had my surgery on March 14th, followed by 20 rounds of radiation. I finished my treatment on July 4th. I didn't ever think this would happen to me.  I breastfed my babies. I eat well, don't smoke, or drink excessively, and I exercise regularly. Despite this, if anything, even if you chose to not donate, and this post finds you, schedule that mammogram.
