Welcome to My Fundraising Page!
Every day, 70 Canadians will hear the words “you have breast cancer.” On January 27th, I was one of them. While many of you know this, you may not know that I lost a sister to this disease in 2013. This made the diagnosis come with some very sad memories linked to this disease. The CIBC Run for the Cure, was then, and now, very personal for me. I ran in 2012 for my sister. This year I will be running for our daughters, our granddaughters, our sisters, our daughter-in-laws and our friends. I'm running for their future, a future without breast cancer. I know there are many causes that may be more meaningful to you, and if that is the case, please do support those causes, and wish me well on October 4th.
Through the past 8 months I have been supported by family and friends and for that I am eternally thankful. Now I'm asking for support as I run towards a brighter future for those we love. You can either donate on my page or you can join our team, Hakuna Ma Ta Tas, and run with us, from a distance, and help raise awareness and pledges of your own.
Many thanks, be kind and be safe,
Together, we can change the future of breast cancer.
Thanks in advance for your support!
