An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

With your help, I can reach my fundraising goal and make a life-changing difference for so many people. Every dollar I raise will fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease.  

Please donate today.  Breast cancer rates are rising among younger Canadian women in their 20s, 30s and 40s.  I lost my beloved cousin this year from advanced metastatic breast cancer.  She was only 46 years old. Thanks to clincal trials, she was able to experience a new standard of treatment with growing optimism for a progression free survival.  I am grateful for the extended time she spent with us but more  awareness, research and support programs are needed for late stage breast cancers. 

 Kat's Krewsaders are hoping to raise enough money so that our fundraising dollars can be directly allocated to those living with metastatic breast cancer.  It is so important to fuel the research that will enhance the lives of people living with with this type of cancer so that they can still live life to the fullest.
