Thank you for visiting the MBC Unicorn Magic Team Website! We are the family and friends of Luba Lubenko who is living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC).

Thank you to our friends and family who supported our fundraising efforts for breast cancer last year.

As you can see our team name has changed. We are now Metastatic Breast Cancer Unicorn Magic. We have come together to raise awareness of MBC and to raise the ever so needed funds to support MBC research.

Breast cancer is only deadly once the cancer leaves the breast and affects distant organs like the lungs, liver, bones, brain. This is called metastatic breast cancer or advanced breast cancer. Metastatic breast cancer can occur in up to 20-30% of early stage patients years after treatment. Research into more effective treatments (or even a cure!) is still desperately needed.
By participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, we’re joining a collective that is a force-for-life in the face of breast cancer.

The funds raised by our team will be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society's Metastatic Futures Fund.
