Things with Feathers

We have come together as a team to support our friend Jen and the thousands of other Canadians diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

Our team name was inspired by Emily Dickinson, who wrote that "Hope is the thing with feathers / that perches in the soul / and sings the tune without the words / and never stops at all". Hope is important.

Jen is all about birds and picked our team mascot - the Blue Tit - since it ties together the breast theme and the bird theme. Also, laughter is good medicine!

We are participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, because we believe better treatment options and survival outcomes are possible. And we want to support all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, including our family and friends.

With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal and fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and support programs and services for those impacted by this disease. Together, we can create a future without breast cancer.
