The Scott Trapp Stick It To Cancer Memorial Tournament is a Fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society.
It is a charity street hockey tournament with participants from all over the lower mainland, held on the UBC campus, and our goal this year is to raise $50,000.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
The event this year is even more personal for me, as this past summer I lost my grandfather to cancer. This event serves as a way to tangibly help others who are going through something similar to what my family went through, and I hope I can show my support for both him and my grandmother by raising money in his honour.
Thanks for your support!
