I am participating in the Subaru Triathalon Festival for Women this coming August in Grimsby, Ontario to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.

The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.  

This event is very close to my heart as cancer has taken away people that i loved, my mother, my mother-ini-law and cousin ncluded.  Cancer is a vicious disease that does not discriminate based on a persons social or economic status.  It does not care about your gender, your orientation or your faith.  Sadly, cancer has touched almost all of our lives and has taken so much from so many.
