My Super Strong Son, A Survivor  My Super Strong Son, A Survivor My son had cancer when he was 5. Today he is almost 8 and cancer is luckily a distant memory. I relay for my son, and for everyone out there who has been "Forever Touched" by this disease. My son was diagnosed with Stage 1A Hodgkins Lymphoma when he was 5. 4 months later my son was in remmision. 2 1/2 years later and we are still going strong. My son got cancer, but cancer didn't get him. I am lucky enough to have my son with me everyday, and I cherish it. I want him to see the good side of life. Every year since we have walked in the relay for life. My mum, and sister joined, and a few good friends. Every year we see new faces on our team, and we spend time together and rejoice that we have each other, and take time to remember those that have passed and offer our support to those who are fighting. We CAN make a difference, and we can spend time together doing a good thing. I have been "Forver Touched" by cancer, but we beat it down. |
