Wake up calls Why I will relay Over the last few years I have had a few cancer scares. My family doctor would say cancer, then the specialist would say it isn't. After the biopsies routine, 6 months of Pap tests and just recently a uterine scope, they haven't ruled it to be cancer but haven't ruled it out either. I will be 30 this June, and during the wait for the booking of my scope, I lost both an aunt and a close family friend to the cancer battle. They have inspired me to fight back not just for me but in memory of them, and in hopes for others in my community. I have not been advised if I have cancer or not. I still wait on word from the doctor. In the meantime I can help others as I know if I am diagnosed with cancer, they will be there for me. We may not be able to beat cancer alone, but as a team we can beat it together. Strength in numbers. Or as dad says, "United we stand." |
