An estimated 27,700 women and 260 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in Canada.  

To show my support for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer, I am participating and fundraising for this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

I was diagnosed in December of 2016 with Stage 3 Grade 3 Hormone Positive Invasive Mammary Carcinoma Breast Cancer. The right axillary lymph node revealed metastatic carcinoma as well.
I underwent 8 rounds of chemo, double mastectomy, 25 rounds of radiation and a complete hysterectomy.
I am grateful for all the research that has been completed which provided me with the 80% success rate. It is time to give back.
