Each year, as the Run for the Cure approaches, I think maybe it is time for me to step back, to get back to my normal life and not worry about cancer. But the truth is after a cancer diagnosis, nothing ever goes back to the way it was, and there is always fear the cancer will return. And each year I continue to lose friends, many that are moms much younger than me, that will never get to see their children grow up.

I am filled with gratitude for the treatment I was able to receive - I remain cancer free.  I want to do my part to ensure there are advancements in treatment options.  Our team directs 100% of the funds we raise to metastatic research, as it is not normally the initial breast cancer diagnosis that is terminal, but when it returns (metastasizes) in the brain, bones, lungs or liver.  It is then Stage 4.  Help us find a cure.
